During the Strawberry Days, running from 27 June to 12 July 2026, everything revolves around this sweet, red fruit.
The Martelltal is Europe’s highest, contiguous strawberry-growing region - the cold nights and hot days give the strawberries their unmistakable flavour and deep red colour.
During the Strawberry Days in the Martelltal, you can enjoy traditional delicacies in the local restaurants.
As part of the Strawberry Weeks, we have put together a varied programme to introduce you to the fruit and the valley in the heart of the Stelvio National Park.

During the Strawberry Days, you can look forward to a wide range of delicious strawberry-based specialities at the participating restaurants and cafés. Whether sweet desserts, homemade cakes, refreshing drinks or creative dishes: our partner establishments showcase the diversity and unique flavour of local strawberries. Let yourself be surprised by the diverse range of creations and enjoy strawberries at their very best.
The Strawberry Queen
The first South Tyrolean Strawberry Queen, Daniela Rinner, was crowned in 1999. A year later, the first South Tyrolean Strawberry Festival took place, which has been celebrated annually ever since, with the exception of the years affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
As an ambassador, the Strawberry Queen represents the Martell strawberry and the produce of local farmers far beyond the valley’s borders.
The reigning Strawberry Queen, Elisa Abart, will hold the crown until 2028 and represent the Martell strawberry at numerous events in South Tyrol and beyond.
